" We witness a miracle every time a child enters into life. But those who make their journey home across time and miles, growing within the hearts of those who wait to love them, are carried on the wings of destiny and placed among us by God's very own hands" --Kristi Larson

Local Restaurants

For lunch on Sunday, we got take-out from a local fast food restaurant called "Kung Fu".  It was yummy, especially the nappa cabbage in an oily soy sauce.  This is one of my favorite pics of the day.

Our guide Simon showed us a local restaurant to try for supper, pointing out to Matt what to order from the menu because it was in Mandarin.  He said that the chicken here was very delicious as well as the pork barbeque. So we tried it for supper Sunday night.  It really was delicious food.  We ordered half a chicken, and you get just that, the whole chicken cut in half from head to tail.  We also had pork stuffed hot peppers and a mushroom and broccoli side dish.

It had a nice ambiance with everyone being locals, the unique stools for chairs, and the traditional buddha shrine. Lina loves a drink that is a sweet-sour milk. She also loves to clean a chicken bone and to eat the skin.
