We have been spending more time in the hotel since this is where Lina seems to be more of herself. She plays and giggles and talks to us. When we are out walking or taking a van ride for sightseeing, she gets, shall we say, a little grumpy. It has been good to see that she is comfortable with just us, and this provides Daddy with opportunities to bond with her.
Last night, we sent laundry out to get cleaned but decided to hand-wash some of the clothes. Lina, who absolutely loves to get a bath, joined in and cleaned her own undies! She is good at doing the laundry, so she must have helped her Grandma many times before. We also got in some "let's squirt Daddy" time with her bath toys. This was two steps forward in bonding with Daddy.

Today, we went swimming in the rain! It was very hot and the hotel has a beautiful pool on the roof top, 14 floors up. It was a neat view, but the best part was Daddy got to hold Lina for the first time in just about a week. The whole pool was 5ft deep (Mommy is only 5'2"), so if she wanted to go out swimming into the middle, she had to go with Daddy.
